Job summary

Gridworks is seeking a Project Director to lead execution of large-scale utility and renewable energy projects in the United States. You will oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, construction, and closeout, ensuring safety, quality, and performance.

The role requires coordinating across engineering, procurement, construction, and finance teams with a focus on client satisfaction and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction management overseeing large projects.
• Experience taking conceptual design through construction with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for all project phases including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, construction, and closeout.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and finance.
• Manage project financials including budgets, forecasts, cash flow, earned value tracking, and change orders.
• Champion safety, quality, and environmental compliance while fostering a high-performance team culture.
• Maintain executive-level client and stakeholder relationships for transparency and risk mitigation.
• Support team development through mentoring, performance evaluations, and training initiatives.
• Oversee project risk management, monitor KPIs, and implement mitigation strategies to protect schedule and profitability.
• Drive project closeout activities including punch lists, as-built docs, subcontractor reconciliations, and lessons learned.
