Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Senior Lead Systems Engineer in Indianapolis on a hybrid schedule. You will guide a small, highly engaged team within a global organization focused on safety, security, and access management.

You will deliver integrated hardware, software, and mobile solutions to meet customer needs. You will drive requirements, risk management, and verification across multiple domains, mentored by an experienced leadership team and supported by Allegion's hybrid work model.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited BS or higher in engineering or computer science.
10+ years in new product development.
Experience in requirements management, risk management, program execution.
Experience in software development (Agile/SAFe) and systems thinking.
Excellent communication and team leadership in a multidisciplinary environment.
Willingness to travel up to 10%.
INCOSE ASEP or CSEP certification is desirable.
Knowledge of cybersecurity, cloud service architectures (AWS/Azure), or BLE is desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop requirements from customer needs for Commercial market applications across hardware and software.
Decompose requirements to system elements across hardware and software domains.
Coordinate with test teams to define and execute verification and validation plans.
Identify reuse opportunities for consistent system behavior across elements.
Plan program status, resourcing, and schedule with project managers and technical leads.
Lead coordination between hardware, software, and mobile application teams for integrated solutions.
Lead technical risk management, structured problem solving, and V&V activities.
Facilitate System/ User FMEA sessions to improve resilience and diagnostics.
Mentor and grow systems engineering practices across the organization.
Coordinate between software and hardware deliverables with software teams.
Work in a collaborative hybrid environment.
