Allegion is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Cincinnati, OH to join a small, highly engaged team within a global security-focused organization. You will define mechanical system requirements and develop 3D models, drawings, and test plans to ensure product performance and manufacturability.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and other brands, plus involvement in design reviews and supplier interactions to drive quality and cost outcomes.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience designing and integrating mechanical systems.
• Experience with cross-functional design processes and manufacturing interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Define mechanical system requirements and specifications for customers and stakeholders.
• Use FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, GD&T, Tolerance Stack Analysis and DFM/DFA to mitigate risks early.
• Ensure designs meet requirements with verification methods and create design docs.
• Prepare 3D models/drawings and manufacturing/test instructions; Creo/Pro-E experience a plus.
• Collaborate across Manufacturing, Operations, and other brands in a team setting.
• Lead design reviews, supplier reviews, and manage technical documentation.
