Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Senior Lead Systems Engineer in Indianapolis to join a global team focused on safety, security, and access management. You will integrate physical products, software, and mobile apps to enable seamless access while upholding Allegion’s standards for excellence.

You will collaborate with business and engineering leaders, lead risk management and verification activities, and mentor engineers in a highly collaborative hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited university.
• 10+ years' work experience in new product development.
• Experience in requirements management, risk management, program execution, and systems thinking.
• Excellent communication and team leadership in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• FMEA facilitation experience is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and desirable INCOSE ASEP/CSEP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements with business and engineering leaders for Commercial market applications across hardware and software.
• Decompose and allocate requirements across system elements in hardware and software domains.
• Collaborate with test teams to define and execute verification and validation plans.
• Identify reuse opportunities for consistent system behavior across elements.
• Plan program status, resourcing, and schedule with project managers and technical leaders.
• Coordinate with hardware, software, and mobile teams to deliver integrated solutions on schedule.
• Lead technical risk management and structured problem solving activities.
• Facilitate FMEA activities and derive resilient system designs.
