Job summary

Crestron Electronics, Inc is seeking a Lead Systems Architect to define and govern the architecture for embedded, cloud-connected, and IoT product platforms. You will translate business requirements into scalable, secure solutions, driving alignment across software, firmware, hardware, QA, and DevOps.

Role requires strong systems architecture expertise, collaboration, and problem-solving across the product lifecycle from concept to launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 7-9 years in software/firmware/systems engineering with hands-on product development.
• 5-7 years in system architecture, solution design, or technical leadership roles.
• 5-7 years delivering embedded, IoT, cloud-connected, or distributed software systems.
• 4-6 years translating product requirements into architectures and roadmaps.
• 3-5 years leading cross-functional architecture reviews and risk mitigation.
• 1-3 years Agile/Scrum experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Program Management, Development, and QA to define requirements and drive design.
• Evaluate technical approaches, spearhead proofs-of-concept, and mitigate risks across the stack.
• Translate product specifications into actionable tasks with reliable effort estimates.
• Work with peer Systems Architects to ensure architectural consistency across products.
• Optimize system performance and resolve performance issues.
• Define, document, and maintain reusable architectural standards and design guidelines.
