Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in CS or related field preferred.
5–10 years of professional software engineering with lead-level contributions.
Experience leading software projects or teams in a product-focused environment.
Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams delivering commercial hardware/software products.
Proficiency in object-oriented and/or functional programming; .NET preferred.
System design and software architecture principles (microservices, APIs, distributed systems).
Agile/Scrum development methodologies and software delivery lifecycle best practices.
Cross-functional collaboration and technical communication with hardware, firmware, and QA teams.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices.
Mentoring and coaching engineers; ability to foster technical growth within a team.

Responsibilities

Lead architectural design and full-lifecycle development of complex software features, ensuring scalability and performance.
Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and guidance.
Collaborate with hardware, firmware, QA, product management, and cloud teams to define interfaces and deliver end-to-end solutions.
Drive resolution of cross-disciplinary technical challenges balancing technical depth with business priorities.
Decompose system features into tasks, estimate timelines, identify risks, and propose mitigations.
Establish coding standards and participate in architectural reviews to improve workflows.
Evaluate new technologies; lead proof-of-concept efforts where applicable.
Produce technical documentation including design specs, API references, and runbooks.
Provide technical clarity to executives and stakeholders.
