Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in CS or related field preferred.
• 5–10 years of professional software engineering with lead-level contributions.
• Experience leading software projects or teams in a product-focused environment.
• Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams delivering commercial hardware/software products.
• Proficiency in object-oriented and/or functional programming; .NET preferred.
• System design and software architecture principles (microservices, APIs, distributed systems).
• Agile/Scrum development methodologies and software delivery lifecycle best practices.
• Cross-functional collaboration and technical communication with hardware, firmware, and QA teams.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices.
• Mentoring and coaching engineers; ability to foster technical growth within a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and full-lifecycle development of complex software features, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and guidance.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, QA, product management, and cloud teams to define interfaces and deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Drive resolution of cross-disciplinary technical challenges balancing technical depth with business priorities.
• Decompose system features into tasks, estimate timelines, identify risks, and propose mitigations.
• Establish coding standards and participate in architectural reviews to improve workflows.
• Evaluate new technologies; lead proof-of-concept efforts where applicable.
• Produce technical documentation including design specs, API references, and runbooks.
• Provide technical clarity to executives and stakeholders.
