Job summary

Florida Tech is seeking an Associate Director of Sponsored Research to lead and oversee the full lifecycle of externally funded programs, from pre-award through post-award closeout. This role partners with faculty, administrators, and sponsors to ensure compliance, accurate budgeting, and timely reporting.

The position requires strong project management, analytical abilities, and experience with research administration in higher education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in research administration or grants management.
• Knowledge of federal regulations, Uniform Guidance, sponsor requirements, and best practices.
• Strong project management, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in oversight of sponsored research throughout the full award lifecycle, including proposal development and closeout.
• Ensure compliance with sponsor requirements, regulations, and university policies.
• Review proposals and budgets for accuracy and adherence to requirements.
• Provide guidance and training to faculty and staff on sponsored program administration and compliance.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for pre-award and post-award activities.
