Job summary

You will lead a high-performing team, leverage Java, Python, AWS, and AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, security, and delivery speed across multiple platforms and services.

You will mentor engineers, participate in architecture reviews, and ensure resiliency and operational stability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years formal software engineering training or certification.
• 10+ years hands-on software industry experience with Java, Python, AWS (EKS, S3, Lambda, EMR) and Terraform.
• Experience leading AI-assisted development tools and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, resiliency and security.
• Cloud security exposure and infrastructure knowledge in AWS.
• Practical cloud-native development experience in AWS for robust solutions.
• End-to-end delivery across architecture, development, testing and operations.
• Experience with streaming systems like Kafka.
• Automation and CI/CD proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with non-routine approaches.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality, speed, and operations, with standardized validation.
• Uses SDLC tools including AI-enabled development and automation to maximize value.
• Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews others’ code.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation to improve stability.
• Leads communities of practice to spread new technologies.
• Contributes to team culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
• Leads and manages a high-performing team of software engineers.
