Job summary
Akkodis is seeking a Lead Maintenance Equipment Engineer for a semiconductor manufacturer in the Niskayuna, NY area. This on-site contract role pays $48–$60 hourly and requires 10+ years of maintenance experience with semiconductor equipment, including legacy tools and control systems.

Qualifications
- AAS degree (or higher) in Mechanical or Electrical field is required.
- 10+ years of maintenance experience with semiconductor equipment.
- Strong ability to read schematics and use hand/power tools.
- Experience with PLCs and complex electrical/elect mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair semiconductor equipment failures; identify root causes.
- Lead repairs and mentor technicians in the field.
- Become technical expert for tools including legacy systems.
- Coordinate with Operations/Engineering and OEMs for uptime.
