Job summary

WD in Fremont is seeking a Full-time Maintenance Technician to support semiconductor tool upkeep and reliability. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with engineering and vendors to boost tool uptime.

Strong schematics reading and safety compliance are essential. Ideal candidates have hands-on maintenance experience with major semiconductor tools, plus proficiency in documenting activities and following clean room protocols.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in electronics or industrial manufacturing
• At least 2 years’ hands-on maintenance in semiconductor manufacturing
• Strong pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical foundation
• Experience with major semiconductor tools as listed in the posting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on tool sets to maintain optimum performance
• Troubleshoot tool issues quickly to maximize uptime
• Collaborate with engineering and vendors to improve tool reliability
• Prepare data for daily/weekly pass-down meetings
• Read schematics and mechanical drawings and repair guides
• Suggest process improvements for continuous improvement
• Maintain safety and clean room protocols
