Job summary

AV in the United States is seeking a Lead Project Manager to coordinate staffing, align skill mix, and lead cross-functional teams through complex programs. You will interface between program managers, engineering leads, and discipline managers to ensure successful execution and strong customer engagement.

Responsibilities include developing PM plans, leading weekly meetings, tracking costs, managing risks, and mentoring junior PMs; a fast-paced environment with DoD-related projects is common.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline required; equivalent combination accepted.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with Bachelor's degree; or at least 3 years with a Master's degree.
• Experience with advanced Project Management concepts and customer interfacing.
• Experience managing projects with outside resources (contract manufacturers, design houses).
• Experience in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments; risk management and mitigation planning.

Responsibilities

• Create and update Project Management Plans to track progress and cost.
• Conduct weekly project team meetings to share status and gather information.
• Track project labor and non-labor costs; track material.
• Coordinate with resource managers to plan and manage project resources.
• Coordinate with 3rd party partners and vendors to align goals and schedules.
• Identify and manage project risks; remove obstacles.
• Manage project scope, schedule or cost changes; produce monthly customer status reports.
• Mentor junior PMs; participate in Proposal Response process.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance PMO efficiency.
