Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking an Associate Director of Patient Affordability Solutions to design and operate patient affordability programs such as copay, savings card, and free-drug offerings. The role leads vendor contracting, performance management, KPIs, and program optimization to improve patient access and persistence.

Collaboration with brand, hub, and compliance is essential. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration and a background in biopharma patient services or specialty

Qualifications

• Minimum of BA/BS required.
• 5+ years in biopharma patient services, hub operations, or specialty pharmacy operations management.
• Experience designing and operationalizing affordability programs with vendor management and launch readiness.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across brand, access, legal, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assess and select affordability vendors, including evaluation, setup, contracting and performance management.
• Coordinate with hub operations and brand leads to ensure a consistent end-to-end experience.
• Design affordability programs with eligibility criteria, duration, limits, and patient support needs.
• Define readiness, workflows, SOPs, vendor testing and handoffs before launch.
• Monitor program performance with KPIs, dashboards, enrollment and eligibility verification.
