Job summary

CacheFly is seeking a hands-on Operations Leader to guide the global CDN platform. You will be the top technical authority, deeply versed in Linux systems, HTTP, caching, and networking, and you will drive troubleshooting, tuning, and automation alongside a world-class team.

You’ll oversee provisioning, upgrades, and configuration management, own major incident responses, and maintain clear communication with strategic customers.

Qualifications

• In-depth Linux system administration at scale.
• Strong understanding of HTTP, caching, and networking.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, customer-facing issues.
• Ability to reverse-engineer architectures and document them.
• Clear, professional communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical resource and senior escalation point for the Operations team.
• Hands-on across provisioning, upgrades, configuration management, performance work, and customer support.
• Lead the response on large-scale incidents and oversee smaller ones.
• Own communication with large and strategic customers during incidents and escalations.
• Author incident post-mortems and drive follow-ups and process improvements.
• Continuously improve CDN reliability, performance, and operational excellence.
• On-call & Escalations with a defined escalation path.
