Job summary

FastTek Global is seeking a Platform Engineering Engineer in Dearborn, MI to own and evolve the enterprise CDN platform. You will drive the global content delivery strategy, migrate to a Multi‑CDN ecosystem, and partner with application, network, and security teams to ensure scalable, reliable delivery.

You will lead incident RCA, build automated remediation, and mentor engineers while shaping self‑service portal tooling and IaC pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing enterprise CDN platforms (Akamai, Cloudflare, Fastly, or Google Cloud CDN).
• Deep knowledge of DNS, GTM, CNAME chaining, HTTP/2 & HTTP/3, TLS/SSL, Caching Headers, and Edge Computing.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Cloud Run and GKE/OpenShift.
• CMS/AEM integration: CDN layers in front of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM/AEMaaCS).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical owner and SME for CDN technologies with applications, network, and security teams.
• Lead the transformation of global content delivery strategy and the CDN CoE to a modern multi‑CDN ecosystem.
• Lead RCA for high‑priority incidents, participate in on‑call rotations, and build automated remediation scripts.
• Maintain reliability with proactive monitoring, establish CDN‑specific SLOs/SLAs, and implement alerting and remediation.
• Evaluate emerging CDN technologies and optimization techniques.
• Mentor and train engineers; develop internal docs, playbooks, and training materials.
