Job summary

Contact Government Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Lead Network Engineer II to join our Information Technology team. The role focuses on evaluating, enhancing, and maintaining a large-scale network spanning wired and wireless infrastructure, hardware, and software, with interface to state and local government stakeholders.

The engineer will design and implement network infrastructure, conduct testing and vulnerability assessments, and provide documentation and knowledge transfer to NPS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Information systems or a related discipline.
• Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Information systems or related discipline.
• CWNA Certification or equivalent; BCNE Certification or equivalent; experience with RF site survey tools, Wireshark.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage large-scale network infrastructure.
• Improve infrastructure monitoring and reporting with network management software.
• Develop, maintain and deliver infrastructure documentation (JIRA tickets, Wiki pages, network diagrams).
• Review current best practices and provide recommendations for architecture, design, management and operation.
• Provide onboarding, monitoring and troubleshooting of wireless networks; apply security patches and updates.
• Define and conduct testing procedures for new infrastructure projects; implement solutions within the network environment.
• Provide design guidance on network solutions within projects; share knowledge with NPS resources.
