Job summary

CGS is seeking an experienced Senior Lead Network Engineer to join a team focusing on evaluating, enhancing, and maintaining a large-scale network project with wired and wireless infrastructure. The engineer will consult on hardware/software, perform testing, vulnerability assessments, and QA, interfacing with government personnel, stakeholders, and vendors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and strong documentation skills, with CWNA/BCNE certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, business or information systems or related field.
• Strong documentation skills, including updating JIRA tickets and network diagrams.
• Clear communication with end users and cross‑org staff.
• CWNA certification or equivalent.
• BCNE certification or equivalent.
• Experience with RF site survey tools and Wireshark.
• Knowledge of Layer2/Layer3 protocols and network security basics.
• Experience with Linux, MS Server and VMware.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, enhance, and maintain a large-scale network project spanning wired and wireless infrastructure.
• Consult on hardware/software, perform testing, vulnerability assessments, and QA.
• Interface with government personnel, stakeholders and vendors.
• Develop, maintain, and deliver infrastructure documentation.
• Provide design guidance and training on best practices for network products.
