Job summary

JPMorgan Chase, within Consumer & Community Banking, seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to guide agile teams in building trusted, scalable mobile technology products. You will drive impact via deep technical expertise across iOS and Android ecosystems, collaborating with UX, QA, and security teams to deliver high-quality apps.

You will own design decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure secure, efficient production code with rigorous testing and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Experience in system design, application development, testing, and maintaining operational stability.
• Proficiency in at least one mobile development language.
• Strong knowledge of iOS and Android ecosystems.
• Experience with CI/CD and app deployment processes.
• Security and data protection awareness.
• Experience with API integration and development tools.
• Familiarity with OAuth, SSO, and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and support to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code; review and debug code written by others.
• Make decisions that impact product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
• Advise peers and project stakeholders on the adoption of new technologies.
• Develop mobile applications for iOS using Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C.
• Develop mobile applications for Android using Java and Kotlin.
• Optimize applications for various mobile devices and form factors.
• Work on large-scale mobile apps, implementing complex front-end solutions and automated testing.
• Collaborate with UX designers to prototype and implement new features for improved user experiences.
• Optimize mobile applications for speed, reliability, and scalability; follow Agile practices including Scrum and CD.
• Support Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to ensure excellent user experience and system performance.
