Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Plano, TX, to advance mobile apps for iOS and Android, partnering with UX designers to deliver secure, scalable experiences. You will drive architecture and code quality across the SDLC, leveraging AI-assisted development tools while ensuring secure coding standards and performance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software engineering, strong mobile frameworks, and Git/Agile expertise.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Experience in system design, application development, testing, and maintaining operational stability.
• Hands‑on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with ability to evaluate, validate, and refine outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and resiliency and security expectations.
• Proficiency in at least one mobile development language and knowledge of iOS/Android frameworks.
• Experience with API integration and development tools like Xcode; strong Git and Agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure, high-quality production code; review and debug code written by others.
• Make decisions that impact product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
• Advise peers and project stakeholders on the adoption of new technologies.
• Collaborate with UX designers to prototype and implement new features for improved user experiences.
• Optimize mobile applications for speed, reliability, and scalability; follow Agile practices such as Scrum and Continuous Delivery.
• Support Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to ensure excellent user experience and system performance.
