Job summary

The Lead Mechanic will schedule workloads, communicate with vendors, and dispatch technicians to jobsites while ensuring quality inspections and accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory/lead role.
• Advanced knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read manuals and schematics; communicate with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide technical support to mechanics in the field and shop.
• Assign repair tasks and monitor progress to maintain productivity.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and verify repairs with documentation.
• Train mechanics on safety protocols and diagnostic tools.
