Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Senior/Lead Java Full Stack Engineer with SQL to join our dynamic team in Charlotte, NC, delivering on Collateral Valuation Services during Argus cloud migration and DCF solution delivery.

You will bring strong Core Java, Spring, SQL, and modern JavaScript framework experience to deliver secure, compliant features end to end while guiding engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Java development including Core Java, J2EE, Spring 5, Spring MVC/Batch, Hibernate.
• Frontend proficiency with JavaScript, React/Angular 17+ and Node.js.
• Experience with WebLogic Server, ETL, Windows and Linux.
• Strong SQL skills with Oracle and SQL Server; PL/SQL expertise.
• CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory; test automation with Selenium/Cucumber.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own feature delivery with high-quality outcomes and minimal technical debt.
• Adhere to enterprise standards for architecture, coding, testing, compliance, and security.
• Meet product acceptance criteria and support audit requirements at the team level.
• Serve as liaison for production activities and drive timely issue resolution.
• Partner with the Product Owner to refine a clear, prioritized backlog with acceptance criteria.
• Lead work breakdown, estimation, and planning to meet delivery timelines.
• Mentor team members in engineering practices, reviews, and continuous improvement.
• Identify skill gaps and collaborate with the Technology Manager on contingency planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years in Java development: Core Java, J2EE, Spring 5, Spring MVC/Batch, Hibernate.
• Frontend proficiency: JavaScript, CSS, React or Angular 17+, and Node.js.
• Version control: GIT/Bitbucket or Subversion.
• WebLogic Server experience, performance tuning, ETL processes, Windows and Linux.
• RDBMS and PL/SQL expertise across Oracle and SQL Server, including strong querying skills.
• Reporting tools: MicroStrategy and Tableau.
• CI/CD: Ansible, Jenkins, Artifactory.
• Agile delivery with test automation using Selenium and Cucumber.
• Containerization and orchestration: Kubernetes and container technologies.
• Web services: AWS, REST APIs, GraphQL.
• Operating systems: Linux/Unix proficiency.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and implementation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Argus integrations or financial valuation platforms.
• Background in commercial real estate or DCF modeling solutions.

Engagement Details

• Start: ASAP. Target start within 2-4 weeks of offer based on business needs.
• Hybrid schedule: Minimum 3 days per week onsite in Charlotte, NC.
