Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join its Commercial & Investment Technology within Cash Prime Technology. You will contribute across multiple areas to build trusted, scalable tech products in a secure environment.

You will design and implement software, lead delivery, and drive modern engineering practices including AI-assisted tools and automated testing for quality and speed.

Qualifications

• Formal degree or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Strong core Java experience with understanding of collection framework, garbage collection, and multi-threading.
• Hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, database knowledge, Kafka, React JS, CI/CD, and AWS cloud experience.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills for large-scale problems and end-to-end solutions.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern languages and SQL.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, DevOps, resiliency, security; Kubernetes.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders in business, operations, and IT.
• Experience leading use of enterprise AI-assisted development tools with governance and quality controls.
• Understanding responsible AI usage in engineering workflows with data sensitivity, security, and resiliency.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions with design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Drives delivery of business value via technology changes and projects.
• Creates automated unit tests using Test Driven Development.
• Gains understanding of clearing and settlements within Cash Prime.
• Estimates project work with supporting tech leads.
• Analyzes and improves control, stability, resiliency, capacity and performance.
• Plans and manages unit, SIT, and UAT testing.
• Delivers robust code to production with tight post-implementation quality.
• Contributes to long-range goals and best practices across teams.
• Promotes AI-assisted engineering practices and tooling governance across SDLC.
