Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Commercial & Investment Bank to contribute technically across multiple areas, delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure and scalable way.

As a core contributor, you will work in an agile team to enhance and deliver advanced technology solutions, with emphasis on secure coding, AI-assisted practices, and robust software lifecycle discipline.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
Hands-on experience delivering system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced in Python or Java.
Experience leading AI-assisted development tools and validating outputs for correctness, performance and security.
Strong understanding of responsible AI in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, secure handling and compliance.
Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies (CI/CD, resiliency, security).
Deep knowledge of the financial services industry IT systems.

Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting.
Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews others' code.
Drives team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and speed.
Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development capabilities to improve value of automation.
Identifies opportunities to automate remediation to improve stability of apps and systems.
Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and teams on architecture and applicability.
