Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Full-stack Engineer who will lead diverse tech programs and strong teams in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. You will mentor engineers, influence architectural decisions, and drive multi-year roadmaps across cloud-native systems.

You will work with Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, and TypeScript, leveraging AWS/GCP/Azure and open source tools to deliver scalable, compliant solutions for regulatory needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
• At least 6 years of software engineering experience (Internship excluded).
• At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• At least 3 years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
• Mentor engineering talent and participate in internal & external technology communities, occasionally coding or evaluating code.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions for millions of users.
• Lead teams using Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, TypeScript, and various databases and container tools.
• Drive multi-year technology roadmaps and investment priorities with platform leaders.
• Develop and manage Lead Engineers and succession plans across teams.
• Drive end-to-end design and implementation of large-scale cloud-native systems with high reliability.
