Job summary

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or virtualization technologies
• 3+ years of people management experience

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems
• Mentor engineering talent and guide major technology transformations across Capital One
• Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions
• Lead teams using Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript, containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and AWS tools
• Define multi-year tech roadmaps and investment priorities with architecture and platform leaders
• Develop and manage Lead Engineers and scalable leadership across teams
• Align engineering execution with enterprise goals and drive portfolio decisions
• Drive end-to-end design of large-scale cloud-native systems with high reliability
