Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Full-Stack Engineer to lead a portfolio of modern, cloud-enabled, full-stack projects. You will mentor engineers, drive technical strategy, and guide multi-team programs across distributed microservices.

You will work with Java, TypeScript, Python, Go, and JavaScript, leveraging Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS to deliver scalable, reliable systems for customers nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
• At least 6 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• At least 3 years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
• Mentor engineering talent and contribute to technology transformations across the organization.
• Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions for millions of users.
• Lead teams using Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript; manage databases and containers.
• Drive multiple Agile teams, define roadmaps and prioritization with stakeholders.
• Develop leaders, succession plans, and scaling leadership across teams.
• Align engineering work with enterprise goals and make portfolio-level decisions.
