Capital One seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack (Go, React, AWS) in Chicago, IL to lead a portfolio of distributed microservices and full stack systems that meet regulatory requirements and customer needs.

You'll mentor engineers, collaborate with product managers, and drive cloud-based solutions using JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Go, Docker, Kubernetes and AWS services, shaping innovative, scalable applications for millions of users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 6 years of software engineering experience
• At least 1 year cloud computing experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Master’s Degree preferred
• 9+ years of experience in JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go
• 4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure or another cloud service
• 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
• 1+ years of people management experience
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers
• Mentor and collaborate with engineers across distributed microservices and full stack systems
• Deliver robust cloud-based solutions and drive regulatory-compliant outcomes
• Partner with digital product managers to align on strategy and execution
