Capital One is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack to lead a portfolio of distributed microservices and full-stack systems, mentoring developers and delivering cloud-based solutions that support regulatory needs and empower millions of Americans.

You'll work with JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go on AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and open source tools, collaborating with product managers to ship robust, scalable applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; internship experience not applicable.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• 1+ year of cloud computing experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Preferred: Master's degree; 9+ years in one of JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go.
• 4+ years of AWS, GCP, Azure or other cloud services experience.
• 4+ years in open source frameworks.
• 1+ year of people management experience.
• 2+ years of Agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with experience in distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
• Mentor engineers, review code, and contribute as needed.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
• Utilize JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go across AWS services and databases.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and related open-source tooling to deploy scalable platforms.
