Job summary

Nara is hiring a Lead Engineer to head the engineering function and work with Product, GTM and Design. This B2B product spans desktop and mobile apps, with deep AI/LLM infrastructure, and you’ll set technical direction and ship code to scale.

You’ll join a senior team to define v2, establish architecture, and deliver releases across web and mobile. The stack includes Go, Postgres, React/TypeScript, and Stripe for payments, with a path to equity and growth. NYC-based or relocating is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering, including shipping B2B or consumer products end-to-end.
• Strong backend fundamentals in Go — or a systems language you’d port from quickly.
• Experience in e-commerce, loyalty/rewards, creator economy, marketplaces, or related.
• NYC-based, or committed to relocating.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering on a newly launched B2B product spanning web and mobile.
• Define and build v2 with the team: payments, third-party integrations, data workflows.
• Set technical direction — stack decisions, DevOps, database management, code quality, release.
• Raise the team’s throughput: scoping, sequencing, reviews, and shipping.
• Collaborate with Product, GTM and Design across the full release cycle.
