Job summary

Leidos Defense Electrical Systems Department in Huntsville, AL seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to guide design, testing and production transitions for complex aerospace/military hardware. You will coordinate with system and production IPTs, supervise engineers, and drive schedules across the full hardware life cycle.

The role requires a BS (ABET-accredited) in Electrical/Computer Engineering with extensive hands-on lab experience and the ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree required
• 12 years (10 with MS) in design/test of electronics
• Experience in analog/mixed-signal PCBs or RF/microwave assemblies
• Experience leading engineering teams through LRIP to full-rate production
• Hands-on lab experience with instrumentation and test methods

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to transition LRUs to full-scale production
• Coordinate between System IPT and Production IPT for seamless integration
• Provide technical direction to a team of engineers through all life-cycle phases
• Develop IMS deliverables from engineering tasks
• Lead design reviews, test data reviews, and issue resolution to support production
