Responsibilities

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Lead Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Master Data Management (MDM) and IBM InfoSphere MDM. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise application development, MDM implementation, integration, and technical leadership.

The candidate should be comfortable working in an onsite/hybrid environment and collaborating closely with business, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver scalable MDM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, customization, and implementation of Master Data Management (MDM) solutions using IBM InfoSphere MDM.
• Develop and enhance MDM applications based on business and technical requirements.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the application development lifecycle, from design through deployment.
• Design and implement MDM data models, business rules, hierarchies, and workflows.
• Develop integrations between InfoSphere MDM and upstream/downstream enterprise applications.
• Build and maintain APIs, web services, and interfaces for MDM integration.
• Work closely with architects, business analysts, data teams, and other application development teams.
• Lead technical discussions, code reviews, solution design, and development best practices.
• Analyze complex technical issues and provide effective, scalable solutions.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Support testing activities, including unit, integration, and system testing.
• Participate in deployment and release activities across development, QA, and production environments.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Contribute to technical documentation, development standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in software/application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Master Data Management (MDM).
• Extensive experience with IBM InfoSphere MDM.
• Strong knowledge of MDM concepts, data governance, data quality, data models, hierarchies, and matching/merging.
• Experience developing and customizing InfoSphere MDM solutions.
• Strong experience with Java/J2EE and enterprise application development.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, web services, and enterprise integrations.
• Strong SQL and database development experience.
• Experience working with application integration and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with source control and CI/CD tools.

Lead Experience

• Proven experience working as a Senior/Lead Developer on large-scale enterprise applications.
• Ability to lead technical design and development activities.
• Experience mentoring developers and conducting code/design reviews.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical deliverables.
• Experience coordinating with onsite/offshore development teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IBM InfoSphere MDM Advanced Edition / Collaborative Edition.
• Experience with IBM DataStage, IBM Integration Bus (IIB), or related IBM data/integration technologies.
• Experience in banking, financial services, healthcare, or other large enterprise environments.
• Experience with cloud technologies is a plus.
• Knowledge of DevOps, automated deployments, and application monitoring is preferred.

Location Requirement

Cleveland, OH is strongly preferred. Candidates based in or willing to work from Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX may also be considered.

Key Requirement

The candidate should have strong hands-on IBM InfoSphere MDM development experience combined with solid technical lead experience. The role is focused on development and solution delivery, rather than being limited to MDM production support.
