Excella is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to drive development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions aligned with business goals. You will provide strategic leadership, mentor teammates, and influence decision-making through data-driven insights.

The role requires guiding data acquisition, model deployment, and performance optimization in an Agile environment. You will collaborate with executives and stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes and sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in predictive analytics using Python, R, or Scala.
• 6+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
• Extensive experience applying machine learning techniques including deep learning and NLP.
• Expertise working with large-scale data platforms such as Hadoop and Spark; cloud-based solutions.
• Strong background in leading data science teams and mentoring juniors.
• Proven ability to translate business problems into data science solutions.
• Excellent communication skills with executives and stakeholders.
• Experience leading projects within Agile Scrum frameworks.
• Strong strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making.
