Job summary

Friedman’s Home Improvement seeks a Lead Application Engineer in Petaluma, CA. This senior role drives D365 F&O development, architecture, and critical integrations across the eCommerce and data platforms, with ownership of release lifecycles and standards.

Mentors engineers, collaborates across teams, and ensures security and performance. The position requires 5+ years in enterprise apps, a CS degree, and a Dynamics 365 F&O focus; Microsoft certs are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with ERP development and D365 F&O architecture.
• Ability to design cross-system architectures spanning ERP, eCommerce, and data platforms.
• Proven release lifecycle and environment management experience.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture-level D365 F&O customizations and cross-system integrations.
• Diagnose and resolve complex production incidents; primary on-call escalation.
• Provide architecture and integration oversight across the application portfolio.
• Evaluate vendor software and recommend new solutions.
• Own D365 release lifecycle, deployment strategy, and Azure DevOps standards.
• Set coding, documentation, and change-control standards.
• Ensure security, compliance, and performance in all customizations.
• Develop automation to reduce manual work.
• Mentor Application Engineer I & II; guide technical direction.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders, vendors, and tech teams.
• Respond to Technical Work Orders; meet SLA targets.
• Lead standups; coordinate with Microsoft Support and partners.
• Support after-hours releases and pages per policy.
