Friedman’s Home Improvement in Petaluma, CA seeks a Lead Application Engineer to own architecture-level D365 F&O customizations and critical integrations across the business application portfolio, including eCommerce and the Power BI data platform.

The role drives the release lifecycle, coding standards, and security/compliance while providing day-to-day technical direction and mentorship to the Application Engineer team.

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise ERP development and D365 F&O architecture.
• Ability to design cross-system architectures across ERP, eCommerce, and data platforms.
• Release lifecycle ownership including environment strategy and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong coding standards, documentation, and change-control practices.

Responsibilities

Summary: The Lead Application Engineer is the most senior and expert position in the series, a software engineering role responsible for the development, enhancement, and production support of Friedman's business applications, centered on Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). While D365 F&O is the primary platform, the Lead holds technical ownership of the full Friedman's business application portfolio — including eCommerce (Sana Commerce), the Power BI / data platform, the Power Platform, and third-party and vendor-supplied applications that integrate with D365 F&O.
