Job summary

Northern Trust Corp is seeking a Lead Cyber Security Engineer in Chicago to design, implement, and manage enterprise Zscaler-based data protection controls with a focus on DLP. You will lead engineering initiatives, provide advanced support, and ensure scalable, secure deployment across large environments.

The role requires 5+ years in Cyber Security or Data Protection Engineering, a Bachelor’s degree, and certifications such as CISSP/CISM/CISA or SANS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Zscaler DLP and data loss prevention.
• Understanding of cloud and on-prem data protection controls in regulated environments.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; CISSP/CISM/CISA/SANS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of Zscaler DLP policies and tenant controls.
• Drive end-to-end DLP lifecycle from requirements through deployment.
• Provide L3 troubleshooting and respond to DLP/Zscaler incidents.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Security teams on data protection.
