Job summary

Citi in Tampa seeks a Senior Lead Counsel 1 in the Technology and Operations team to provide broad commercial legal support for technology transactions and related services. You will draft and negotiate technology licenses, SaaS and other cloud-based arrangements for global needs, while aligning with Citi’s risk and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of proven general commercial transactional experience.
• Experience with complex deals and legal solution development.
• Bar admission: Florida or ability to become authorized in-house within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel to Citi businesses on technology transactions and related contracts.
• Evaluate transactions against laws, regulations, and industry practices; escalate as needed.
• Collaborate across businesses to achieve efficient outcomes on technology matters.
• Lead planning and development initiatives with risk-aware, commercially oriented input.
• Identify and manage legal, regulatory, and reputational risk with cross-functional teams.
• Negotiate and draft technology agreements, outsourcing, SaaS, and other contracts for NA and global use.
