Job summary

UCB Inc. is seeking a DT Lead, Commercial Data Engineering & Data Products to own the lifecycle of commercial data assets on the NextGen platform.

You will lead the data engineering team in designing scalable Azure/Databricks solutions and reusable data products for reporting, analytics, ML, and AI, while aligning with business outcomes. Based in Atlanta, GA, this on-site/hybrid role partners with stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, and Commercial operations to ensure trusted, governable data

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years in data engineering or cloud data platform leadership.
Experience in pharma/healthcare or regulated industry.
Experience across commercial data domains (claims, HCP/customer, payer, etc.).
Hands-on with Azure and Databricks (Python, SQL, Spark, Delta Lake).
Experience delivering data products for Power BI/Fabric, analytics, ML, or AI enablement.
Designing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with governance and data quality controls.
Leadership of engineers and third-party partners; communicating risks to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Own lifecycle of Commercial data products from onboarding to retirement.
Define ownership, consumer needs, data contracts, quality standards & roadmaps.
Drive adoption of reusable data products across reporting, analytics, AI, and business teams.
Lead Commercial Data Engineering team for onboarding, integration, transformation, publishing & support.
Set engineering standards for architecture, quality, lineage, security, testing, and readiness.
Deliver Azure and Databricks solutions with scalable, reusable frameworks.
Ensure interoperability between Databricks, Fabric, Snowflake, Power BI, and future platforms.
Oversee data sources onboarding, lifecycle, quality, and operational support.
