Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline plc is seeking a Director of Commercial Data Products to lead enterprise data products used for commercial decisions. You will own product roadmaps, data models, and SLAs while partnering with engineering teams to build and maintain products on Databricks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
• 10+ years in data engineering, data product management, data architecture, or data management.
• Strong coding practices: Git, PRs, automated tests, CI/CD; SQL proficiency; dbt, Python or Spark.
• Experience designing analytical data models and enterprise data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own key enterprise data products in Commercial Activity & Customer & Account domains.
• Lead product roadmap, gather requirements, and set delivery timelines with stakeholders.
• Represent domains in demand reviews; publish roadmaps and release notes.
• Own data models (conceptual, logical, physical); design for reuse and restatements.
• Partner with engineering on Databricks, adhere to platform standards.
• Champion engineering best practices: version control, peer review, tests, CI/CD.
• Lead contractors; set priorities and ensure knowledge retention.
• Define source relationships; write contents-and-format specs for sources.
