Job summary

Hirebridge is seeking multiple experienced CNC Vertical Milling Machinists for mid-level, senior, and lead opportunities in a high-precision manufacturing environment in Connecticut. You will set up and operate CNC and/or manual vertical milling machines to produce complex, tight-tolerance components.

Senior/Lead roles may include CNC programming, process development, first-article approval, and technical leadership on the shop floor.

Qualifications

3+ years of vertical milling experience.
Experience setting up and operating CNC and/or manual vertical milling machines.
Strong knowledge of machining principles, cutting tools, speeds/feeds, and workholding.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC and/or manual vertical milling machines.
Install and align tooling, vises, fixtures, and workpieces.
Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
Perform milling, contouring, pocketing, drilling, tapping, boring, and profiling.
Establish tool offsets, work coordinates, and machining sequences.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and GD&T.
Make CNC program edits using G-code or conversational controls.
Inspect parts with precision measuring equipment.
Maintain tolerances and surface finishes.
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and material issues.
Make process adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
Complete travelers, inspection records, and production documentation.
