Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to set technical direction for the Cloud Foundational Services team in Jersey City. You will lead delivery of secure, scalable platform capabilities that standardize how teams consume AWS networking, EC2, and storage.

Qualifications

7+ years software engineering with leadership across multiple teams.
AWS expertise with networking, EC2, and storage.
Terraform enterprise module development and IaC across environments.
Python for platform automation and services.
Strong design, CI/CD, SDLC, security, resiliency and production stability.

Responsibilities

Set technical direction and lead delivery for developer platform capabilities spanning AWS networking, EC2, and storage.
Own Terraform strategy and execution (enterprise module standards, state/backends, CI/CD integration, environment promotion, governance).
Build platform automation and services in Python (workflows, validations, integrations with AWS APIs).
Ensure secure-by-default designs (least-privilege IAM, network segmentation, encryption/KMS, secure storage configurations).
Lead design reviews, resolve complex cross-cutting technical issues, and drive reliability through automation and standardization.
Mentor engineers, influence engineering best practices, and partner with architecture, security, and application teams.
