JPMorganChase seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to set technical direction and lead delivery of secure, scalable, self-service platform capabilities that standardize how teams consume AWS networking, EC2, and storage.

You will guide architecture and engineering standards, mentor senior engineers, and partner with security, architecture, and application teams to deliver enterprise cloud foundations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering with proven technical leadership across multiple teams.
• AWS expertise with hands-on networking, EC2, and storage.
• Terraform expertise including enterprise-scale module development and IaC across environments.
• Python expertise for platform automation and services.
• Strong system design, CI/CD, SDLC, security, resiliency, and production stability.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and lead delivery for developer platform capabilities spanning AWS networking, EC2, and storage.
• Own Terraform strategy and execution (enterprise module standards, state/backends, CI/CD integration, environment promotion, governance).
• Build platform automation and services in Python (workflows, validations, integrations with AWS APIs).
• Ensure secure-by-default designs (least-privilege IAM, network segmentation, encryption/KMS, secure storage configurations).
• Lead design reviews, resolve complex cross-cutting technical issues, and drive reliability through automation and standardization.
• Mentor engineers, influence engineering best practices, and partner with architecture, security, and application teams.
