Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Cloud Foundational Services to build secure, scalable platform capabilities for AWS networking, EC2, and storage. You will lead technical delivery and set engineering standards across teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software engineering with hands-on AWS, Terraform, and Python expertise, plus strong SDLC and CI/CD experience for enterprise-scale cloud foundations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of developer platform capabilities for AWS networking, EC2, and storage.
• Build and maintain Terraform IaC (modules, state/backends, CI/CD integration, environment promotion).
• Develop platform automation and services in Python (provisioning workflows, validations, integrations with AWS APIs).
• Implement secure-by-default patterns (least-privilege IAM, network segmentation, encryption/KMS, secure storage configurations).
• Review code, debug complex issues, and improve reliability through automation and standardization.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with architecture, security, and application teams to deliver reusable platform patterns.

Job responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of developer platform capabilities for AWS networking, EC2, and storage.
• Build and maintain Terraform IaC (reusable modules, state/backends, CI/CD integration, environment promotion).
• Develop platform automation and services in Python (provisioning workflows, validations, integrations with AWS APIs).

• Strong SDLC, CI/CD, security, resiliency, and operational stability experience in production environments.

Preferred qualifications

• Proven Terraform module development (versioning, testing/validation, documentation, long-term maintenance).
• Experience delivering shared platforms/foundational services in a large-scale enterprise environment.
