Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to shape architecture and delivery for mission-critical platforms in demanding environments. You will drive architectural direction, lead high-performing teams, own delivery outcomes, and partner with product and operations to implement scalable, compliant solutions.

Responsibilities include modernization, integration, and lifecycle management across complex workflows, balancing legacy and new tech while maintaining reliability and regulatory

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years in a senior technical leadership role.
• Experience with Agile delivery in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Leadership experience overseeing mission-critical enterprise platforms.
• Expertise in transaction processing, systems integration, and architecture.
• Experience leading platform modernization and transformation initiatives.
• Experience with both legacy and modern technologies.
• Strong technical, delivery, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work onsite 4 days a week and remotely 1 day a week.
• Availability during standard business hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM).

Responsibilities

• Establish and drive architectural direction, integration strategies, and engineering best practices across critical business platforms
• Build, develop, and lead high-performing engineering teams focused on quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
• Own delivery outcomes for mission-critical platform capabilities, ensuring scalability, resiliency, and reliability
• Partner with product, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions across complex, interconnected workflows and regulatory environments
• Drive platform evolution through modernization initiatives, process optimization, and technology lifecycle management
• Lead engineering teams supporting a high-volume custody and securities processing platform
• Bridge high-level product goals and everyday technical execution
