Job summary

Nuveen, a subsidiary of TIAA, seeks a Senior Lead Application Developer to join the Middle Office Technology team. You will drive technical designs for cloud migration and oversee full solution delivery, partnering with IT leaders and business units.

The role requires strong Java/J2EE, AWS, CI/CD, and database experience, plus a Bachelor's degree. You will coordinate testing, deployments, and ongoing support to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of buy/sell side experience leading Developers on complex projects.
• Experience in Java/J2EE/Weblogic/Middleware/SQL/Unix.
• 3+ years of AWS – multiple services incl. EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS.
• Hands-on with Angular, C#, Spring Boot, React and/or Java.
• Strong database experience (RDS, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Experience in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub, Maven, Docker).
• CI/CD pipeline setup using AWS CodeBuild/CodeDeploy or ElectricFlow/Jenkins.
• Two years programming in Python for automation.
• Ability to document workflows using Visio and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with business and analysts to create Technical Design for cloud migration.
• Maintain day-to-day activities with operations for Portal Applications.
• Fix bugs or implement new enhancements for portal applications.
• Act as Technical SME and escalation point for design issues.
• Document current state workflows and design end-to-end strategic workflows.
• Lead integration and UAT testing across multiple applications and analysts.
• Provide accurate technical estimations for deployment milestones.
