Job summary

Jobtailor in New Jersey seeks a senior technologist to design and deliver Middle Office solutions. You will collaborate with IT leadership and Business Unit Leaders to develop strategic roadmaps and coordinate responses to critical issues, while overseeing full delivery life cycles.

The candidate will liaise with Leveraged Finance teams to document technical design, maintain day-to-day portal application operations, and serve as a technical SME for design issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 5+ years of buy/sell side experience at Hedge Fund/Investment Manager.
• Experience with Java/J2EE, AWS, SQL, Unix, and middleware technologies.
• Hands-on with web frameworks such as Angular, Spring Boot, React, or Java.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automation scripting (Python).

• Design and development of solutions supporting Middle Office Technology functions
• Collaborate with IT Leadership and Business Unit Leaders to develop strategic roadmaps
• Coordinate responses when critical issues arise that affect the business
• Oversee the full life cycle of the delivery of solutions
• Liaise closely with Leveraged Finance Business and Application Analysts to generate Technical Design
• Maintain and work closely with business/operation team related to Portal Applications day‑to‑day activities
• Act as a Technical SME and business point of escalation for design issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree Required
• 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred
• 5+ years of Buy/Sell side experience working at Hedge Fund/Investment Manager leading Developers
• Experience in Java/J2EE/Weblogic/Middleware Technologies/SQL/Unix
• 3+ years of experience with AWS - With multiple AWS services beyond traditional IaaS
• Hands on working Experience with Web Frameworks such as Angular/C#/Spring Boot/React and/or Java
• Strong Database experience (e.g. RDS, Oracle, SQL Server, MYSQL, MongoDB or PostGre)
• Experience in CI/CD tools (Electric Flow, Ansible, or Puppet, Jenkins, Github, Git, Maven, Docker, Atom)
• Two (2) years of demonstrated programming ability, skillset in designing and developing automation scripts using Python
• Ability to document current and target state Technical workflows using tools such as Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint
