Job summary

UCI Health, the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine, seeks a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to provide psychosocial evaluation, advocacy and discharge planning within the Transplant Department. You will help develop policies and ensure adherence to procedures, collaborating with the Chief Clinical Social Worker and Transplant Administrator.

The role requires LC SW licensure, strong English communication, and the ability to navigate a complex health care system.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret and implement hospital, JCAHO, Health Department and Child Abuse Registry standards and regulations.
• Customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Ability to work within a complex health care system.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Current Clinical Social Work License issued by the Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver psychosocial evaluation and treatment, advocacy, teaching, and referrals to community services.
• Assist with discharge planning and policy development for the Transplant Department.
• Ensure adherence to department policies and procedures.
