UCI Health seeks a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to deliver psychosocial evaluation and treatment within the Transplant Department, reporting to the Chief Clinical Social Worker and the Transplant Administrator.

You will provide advocacy, referrals to community services, assist discharge planning, and help develop department policies while ensuring adherence. Strong English communication and license are required. Experience with transplant patients is preferred.

Your Role on the Team

Position Summary

Reporting jointly to the Chief Clinical Social Worker and the Transplant Administrator, the LCSW is responsible for providing for the delivery of social services including psychosocial evaluation and treatment, advocacy, teaching, referrals to community services, and assisting as needed with discharge planning. Assists with the development of Transplant Department policies and procedures and ensures adherence to them.

Required Qualifications

• Skills to interpret and implement hospital, JCAHO, Health Department and Child Abuse Registry standards and regulations
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Knowledge of and ability to work within a complex health care system
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Current Clinical Social Work License issued by the Board of Behavioral Sciences
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
• Experience working with pre and post transplant patients
