Job summary

Sotera Health (Nelson Labs) is seeking an experienced Chemist III to lead LC-MS data analysis within the Analytical Chemistry team. You will oversee LC-MS study conduct, interpret results, and contribute to method development and instrument validation while mentoring staff and collaborating closely with clients.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry preferred; or a Bachelor's or master's in Chemistry or closely related field.
• Minimum five years of applicable laboratory experience.
• Strong knowledge of LC-MS chemistry, methods, and data analysis.
• Experience with LC-MS instrumentation (Orbitrap/Exploris) is a plus.
• Working knowledge of GMP, GLP, ISO 17025, ISO 9001 or similar regulated environments.
• Experience in method development, validation, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as LC-MS technical expert for chemistry testing and analytical techniques.
• Evaluate LC-MS data for scientific validity and perform untargeted data interpretation.
• Develop, write, review, and validate SOPs, test procedures, protocols, and methods.
• Conduct method development and validation for new and existing testing methods.
• Ensure lab procedures and reports stay current with published methods and standards.
• Maintain data traceability and proper test controls throughout testing.
