Job summary

Ponte Vedra Inn & Club in Northeast Florida seeks an Assistant Chief Laundry Mechanic to support the Chief Laundry Mechanic in maintaining and repairing commercial laundry equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted laundry operations. This on-site role requires hands-on expertise and leadership to supervise daily activities and step in as acting lead when needed.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of experience with commercial laundry systems, strong mechanical troubleshooting skills,

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
3–7 years experience maintaining commercial or industrial laundry equipment.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills; ability to read schematics/diagrams.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist the Chief Laundry Mechanic in overseeing maintenance and repair of all commercial laundry equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and plumbing issues affecting laundry operations.
Serve as acting lead mechanic during the Chief Laundry Mechanic's absence and coordinate daily activities.
Maintain maintenance records, repair logs, and preventive maintenance documentation.
