Job summary

Crown Linen, LLC is seeking a senior Mechanic III in Florida to lead advanced diagnostics and maintenance of industrial laundry systems. You will mentor junior staff, drive reliability improvements, and manage preventive maintenance programs while coordinating with vendors and planning capital projects.

The role requires deep experience in electrical/mechanical systems, PLCs, and TPM/Lean maintenance, with strong documentation in CMMS and a bilingual communication capability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within commercial laundry, manufacturing, or high-volume production environments.
• High school diploma or GED required; completion of a technical or trade school program is highly desirable.
• Advanced mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation systems knowledge, including hands‑on experience with PLC programming, VFD troubleshooting, electromagnetic systems, and industrial control panels.
• Reading blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams for diagnostics and repairs; proficient in CMMS for logging work orders, scheduling preventive maintenance, and asset tracking.
• Skilled in high- and low-voltage electrical systems; understanding HVAC controls, thermostats, and boiler systems.
• Basic welding (acetylene/arc) for repair and fabrication.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis, TPM, and Lean maintenance to drive reliability.
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills to lead technicians and coordinate priorities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills for independent work in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and model adherence to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on industrial laundry machinery and systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation issues.
• Program, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs, VFDs, and control panels.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement reliability improvements.
• Improve preventive maintenance procedures and documentation.
• Manage capital improvement projects and equipment installations.
• Assist with parts sourcing, inventory planning, and vendor coordination.
• Mentor Maintenance Technicians I and II.
• Support planning and shift leadership with the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.
• Maintain accurate records in CMMS.
