Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive engineering experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience leading launches of new products, equipment, or processes.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, root cause analysis.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product and manufacturing process launches from concept through production readiness.
• Develop launch plans with timing, milestones, resources, risks, and escalation requirements.
• Serve as the primary engineering lead for assigned launch programs.
• Coordinate activities across Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.
• Lead prototype builds, pre-production trials, equipment runoffs, and ramp-up activities.
• Drive APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and control plan deliverables and related launch documentation.
• Identify risks early and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
• Provide guidance on Design for Manufacturability during reviews.
• Monitor manufacturing performance during launch (quality, scrap, cycle time, throughput).
• Communicate risks and readiness to plant and corporate leadership.
